Front of the kit: Royer R10 - same distance from the snare as overheads, figure 8 pattern picking up the sides of the kit / reflections from the walls
Snare: 2x Shure SM57
Beyerdynamic D35 - Tom
Beyerdynamic D35 - Floor Tom
Hi-hat: Shure SM81, vertically angled, 3/4 out
Rode M5 - Ride, vertically angled 3/4 out
Kick: Shure B52 out and MD421 inside the kick / both pointing towards the centre
BASS
DI + MD421 slightly off the centre of the cone
GUITARS
Royer 121 + SM57 just off the centre of the cone - MD421-N 30 degrees aimed to the centre of the cone
Beyerdynamic M160 centre of the cone - SM57 30 degree angle aimed to the centre of the cone
SYNTHS
All going through a mini mixer, into a Black Hole Symmetry pedal and then to one of the Fender amp ins - All recorded through the Fender Tone Master amp with the mics seen above
